The Challenge

Executive management of one of the largest mortgage brokerages in the State of California realized that their ability to see their pipeline, assess trends and control their data availability was greatly jeapordized by their existing mortgage origination applications. If you can't measure it, you can't manage it. With data and applications residing on individual PCs and laptops spread across 100+ mortgage brokers, the threat of data loss and corruption compounded the problem.

The Solution

Access Business Technologies was initially engaged to assess the current environment. The first resulting advisory was to move the disparate origination application into a secure, hosted environment. ABT also suggested a hosting solution for the company's Microsoft Exchange email environment. These hosted environments would provide greater security, control, availability and consolidation than the existing situation.

The Result

By hosting the applications and data with ABT, this brokerage realizes greater control, security and consolidated reporting capabilities. ABTs standard reporting packages now provide pipeline and other reporting capabilities to all assigned individuals. The data can now also be integrated and utilized in additional applications including campaign-oriented CRM and back-end servicing systems.

As an additional result to the consolidation of hosted data, the company's warehousing group was able to identify new mortgages being originated and was further able to identify solutions to the specific originating brokers.
